Terms of Service - Bridport Vehicle Hire Services

Welcome to Bridport Vehicle Hire Services. These Terms of Service (Terms) govern your use of our website carhirebridport.co.uk and our vehicle rental services. By using our services you accept and are bound by these Terms.

1. Bridport Agreement

All vehicle rentals with Bridport are subject to a detailed Rental Agreement provided at booking confirmation or vehicle collection. The agreement sets out specific terms, conditions, insurance details, charges, and your responsibilities for the individual rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement takes precedence.

2. Bridport Eligibility

To rent a vehicle from Bridport, you must:

Be at least 21 years old (age limits differ by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a full, valid driving licence for the relevant vehicle category, held for the minimum period stated in the Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address, and present any further documentation required by Bridport or set out in the Rental Agreement.

3. Bridport Booking and Payment

Bookings may be made via our website, by telephone, or in person at our Bridport office. A booking deposit may be required to confirm your reservation. Full payment and the security deposit are normally payable on collection of the vehicle. All prices are shown in British pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable.

4. Bridport Vehicle Collection and Return

You must inspect the vehicle at collection and report any existing damage to Bridport immediately. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by you and a Bridport representative. Return the vehicle in the same condition as at collection, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage found after return will be assessed and charged to you.

5. Bridport Insurance and Liability

Basic third-party insurance is included with all Bridport rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are provided in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to reduce your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these options carefully before finalising your reservation. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess stated in the Rental Agreement and for any items not covered by selected protections.

6. Cancellation and Amendments

Cancellation and amendment policies for Bridport vary by booking type and notice period. Consult your booking confirmation or Rental Agreement for specific details. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in charges.

7. Bridport Restrictions

You must not use the Bridport vehicle for:

Any unlawful purpose or activity involving Bridport vehicles. Racing, rallying, off-road driving, or other high-risk activities. Transporting hazardous or regulated substances. Subletting the vehicle to third parties or permitting unapproved drivers. Operating the vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs. Uses for which the vehicle was not intended...

Violating these restrictions may result in Bridport terminating the rental immediately and imposing additional charges.

8. Limitation of Liability — Bridport

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Bridport Vehicle Hire Services will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of our services. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the service that gave rise to the claim.

9. Governing Law — Bridport

These Terms for Bridport are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Bridport Terms

Bridport may modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on the Bridport website. Your continued use of Bridport’s services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
